HGC Draft Supplementary Planning Document Consultations

Hemel Garden Communities (HGC), St Albans City & District and Dacorum Borough Council are inviting local residents, businesses, and developers to have their say on two new Draft Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) that will help shape the future housing, neighbourhoods and development within the Hemel Garden Communities Programme Area. The documents provide a joint approach for all development planned in and around Hemel Hempstead in Dacorum and St Albans districts. 

The consultations begins at 12pm on Friday 6th February 2026 and closes at midnight on Thursday 19th March 2026. As part of the consultation we are holding two public events.

• A public face-to-face event will take place on Tuesday 24th February 2026 in Leverstock Green Village Hall, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 8QG, from 5pm – 8pm 

• A public face-to-face event on Thursday 26^th February 2026 in Redbourn Parish Centre, The Park, Redbourn, AL3, 7LR, 5pm – 8pm.
